A support program for young people
FAMUNA is developing a program for young people who have decided to try to conceive. It covers three stages: trying to conceive, pregnancy and early parenting.
If you’re still thinking about having children
You can use the guide to think through your questions or sign up for updates about talks and events. This general guidance is open to anyone still considering how having children might fit into their plans.
The three stages of the program
1. Trying to conceive
From the decision to try to conceive until pregnancy begins. A point of contact could help you sort through your questions, identify what support would help and find available specialists.
2. Pregnancy
From the start of pregnancy until birth. Support could include someone to talk to, guidance on preparing for the baby’s arrival and help checking what support is available at this stage.
3. After birth
During early parenting. The program aims to offer follow-up and, depending on agreements and available resources, childcare hours, financial support or discounts on products and services.
Places and available support
Enrollment opens in groups once professional availability is confirmed. Each benefit depends on confirmed agreements, funding and capacity. Submitting an application starts a review.
How to apply
Sign in to your account, verify your email if needed and submit an application. In My Account, you can check its status and reply if the team needs more information. If there’s a professional and a place available, the team can offer times for a first conversation about where you are and what support would help.
